Front lift is CV joint limited
Lifting an AWD Transit much past about 2 inches at the front pushes the CV joints toward a bad operating angle.
Vibration under acceleration is the warning sign that it's gone too far. Copying a 4x4 Sprinter's lift height onto this chassis is a common and avoidable mistake.

Limitations of the Ford Transit Suspension
Rear shock mounts are a trail hazard as shipped. Factory rear shock mounts hang low enough on a Transit to be a genuine trail hazard, not a fashion complaint. High clearance relocation brackets tuck the mounts up into the wheel line.
Driver assistance sensors have tolerance limits too. Adaptive cruise and lane keep cameras tolerate a modest level restore. They don't tolerate a mystery lift and a shrugged alignment. We verify sensor calibration against your new geometry as part of every install.

Can You Lift a Ford Transit AWD Without Damaging It?
Helper products are common in the Transit world for a reason that's changing. RAS, Sumo, and SuperSprings show up often on Transits because full leaf pack replacements used to be harder to source for this platform than for Sprinters. That's changing. The physics didn't change with the parts availability: a helper is still a helper, not a substitute for a rate matched pack.
Engineering fix: pack to the rear axle ticket, keep front support inside the 2 inch CV window, and relocate rear shocks if you leave pavement regularly.

- Custom Damping Control: We pair those leaves with custom-valved Fox 2.5 rear shocks. We install high-clearance relocation brackets to tuck the mounts up into the wheel line. It gives the Fox shocks their optimal range of travel and removes a genuine trail hazard.

- Corrected AWD Geometry: A lift is only as good as the alignment that follows it. When we add the maximum ~2 inches of clearance to a Transit, we ensure AWD angles remain in spec, preventing uneven tire wear and unpredictable on-road handling.
