Each suspension manufacturer brand starts from a different assumption about your van and your budget. The market looks chaotic until you sort products by what job they actually think they're doing.
Most forum arguments are people comparing a helper spring to a full pack to a rear coilover as if they were the same tool.

OEM Leaf Spring "Helpers"
Dependent on the health of the OEM leaves.
Add-a-leaf / mini-pack. Extra leaves slipped into or stacked onto the factory pack.
SumoSprings. Add progressive resistance as they compress, reducing sag and some roll on a light van, but adding almost no rebound control.
SuperSprings. Common in towing, less precise than a pack built to a scale ticket.
Airbags. Special case tool, not a general camper solution.

Full replacement progressive leaf packs
Remove the factory pack and install a progressive multi leaf rated to your wet rear axle weight.
The van returns toward the ride height the chassis was designed around, typically 1.5 to 2.5 inches of recovered height.

Rear coilovers working with the leaves
A Sprinter and most Transits locate the rear axle with leaf springs. You can't delete the leaves for coilovers alone unless you add control arms and change the entire axle location job, which turns a bolt on upgrade into a fabrication project.
So "rear coilover" on these vans almost always means: keep the leaves to locate the axle, add a coilover damper beside them to add rate and damping. That's the King approach and the Evictus approach, with Evictus also offering a threaded helper coil on a large monotube.
The coil is a second spring. Two springs both doing the primary job will fight each other. Stack a helper coil on top of an already correct full leaf pack and you overspring the rear and lose small bump compliance. Used well, the coil supports variable load, water tanks filling and draining, without a leaf swap. Used poorly, it's an expensive way to make a 2500 feel like a poorly loaded 3500.

Front architecture choices
Keep the OEM strut, add a coilover sleeve and an auxiliary shock. Adds front rate and a second damper, usually needs a spacer or lower offset wheel for clearance.
Replace the strut entirely with a purpose built monotube or inverted strut (Owl and Falcon Pro, some Van Compass Falcon Rally, King 2.5 coilover strut, Agile Performance Elite and Factory Race FOX 2.5 coilover strut). More damping robustness, sometimes more lift. Inverted bodies put the larger diameter down low for lateral strength.
Geometry correction. Lift changes camber and caster. Transit AWD has a hard ceiling, much past about 2 inches of front lift and the CV joints sit at a bad angle. Vibration under power is the warning sign.
Adjustable vs fixed damping
Fixed, custom valved (Agile Standard RIP Fox packages, Evictus digressive dual piston, some King factory tunes). The shop or manufacturer picks a valve stack for your weight and use, and you drive. Best when the van's job doesn't change much week to week.
Driver adjustable (Owl and Falcon Fast Adjust, Agile Performance Elite and Factory Race RIP with FOX DSC EVO, King compression clickers, Van Compass Falcon stages). A knob changes compression, and on the FOX DSC units both high-speed and low-speed compression. Genuinely useful if you'll go firm for a windy interstate and soft for washboard. Useless, and sometimes worse, if the knobs never leave the factory mark.
Agile Standard RIP is the fixed column. Agile Performance Elite and Factory Race / Race RIP are the adjustable column. Same custom-rate leaf pack and shear brackets either way. The damper homework is what changes.

Nobody wins. Agile is the set and forget rate matched system. Owl is the adjustable mixed use system. King is rebuildable race hardware that needs a thoughtful leaf pairing. Evictus is large piston capability at a large piston price. Choose the job, then the tool.
A working starting point: firmer for interstate and wind, softer for corrugations, middle for town. If you don't want that homework, don't buy that hardware.
Height alone isn't what makes a van feel tippy. Unsupported weight is. A rate matched pack that returns design height usually lowers effective center of gravity under load by killing sag. Spacer only lifts can raise it, which is why we don't sell those as a default.
